In the world take always the position of the giver. Give everything and look forno return. Give love, give help, give service, give any little thing you can, butkeep out barter. Make no conditions, and none will be imposed. Let us give outof our own bounty, just as God gives to us.The Lord is the only Giver, all the men in the world are only shopkeepers. The Power Of Words Over Water

Can water be affected by our words? Dr. Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist, believes so. And he has proof.

Dr. Emoto took water droplets, exposed them to various words, music, and environments, and froze them for three hours. He then examined the crystal formations under a dark field microscope. And he took photographs. The results were totally mind-blowing. Here’s a photo of ordinary water without any prayer spoken over it. The molecular structure is in disarray.

The photo below is water after the prayer was said. It’s simply breathtaking. (I now have a great respect for praying before meals! More on this later.)

Dr. Emoto also exposed water to Heavy Metal music. Here’s how it looks like. Looks sad if you ask me.

Next, Dr. Emoto stuck a piece of paper with these words: “You make me sick. I will kill you.” Here’s how the frozen water droplets looks like under the microscope…

Below is how water looked like with the words “Love” over it. The difference is amazing.

This is water from Lourdes , France . Utterly beautiful, right?

Wait A Minute— Aren’t You Made Up Of Water? Yes! 72% of your body is made up of water. Imagine how your words affect your own body. When you say, “I’m a failure,” or “I’m hopeless,” or “I won’t get well,” imagine how these words weaken your health. Make a choice to say the best words out there. Say often, “I’m wonderful,” “I’m beautiful,” “I’m God’s child,” and “God has a great plan for my life!”

Earth Hour (27 March at 8.30pm- 9:30pm )

Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia when 2.2 million homes and businesses turned their lights off for one hour to make their stand against climate change. Only a year later and Earth Hour had become a global sustainability movement with more than 50 million people across 35 countries participating. Global landmarks such as the, Sydney Harbour Bridge, The CN Tower in Toronto, The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and Rome’s Colosseum, all stood in darkness, as symbols of hope for a cause that grows more urgent by the hour.
In March 2009, India alongwith hundreds of millions of people took part in the third Earth Hour. Over 4000 cities in 88 countries officially switched off to pledge their support for the planet, making Earth Hour 2009 the world’s largest global climate change initiative.
Earth Hour 2010 takes place on Saturday 27 March at 8.30pm- 9:30pm and is a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community throughout the world. It is a call to stand up, to take responsibility, to get involved and lead the way towards a sustainable future. Iconic buildings and landmarks from India to Australia to America will stand in darkness. People across the world from all walks of life will turn off their lights and join together in celebration and contemplation of the one thing we all have in common – our planet.

Power of Thinking

The infinite strength of the world is yours. Drive out the superstition that has covered your minds. Let us be brave.By degrees the heart has to be strengthened. If one man is made, it equals the result of a thousand lectures.Whatever you think, that you will be. If you think yourselves weak, weak you will be; if you think yourselves strong, strong you will be; if you think yourselves impure, impure you will be; if you think yourselves pure, pure you will be. This teaches us not to think ourselves as weak, but as strong, omnipotent, omniscient.

Letter from Banta Singh to Mr. Bill Gates

Subject: Problems with my new computer
Dear Mr. Bill Gates,
We have bought a computer for our home and we have found some problems, which I want to bring to your notice:
1. There is a button 'start' but there is no 'stop' button. We request you to check this.
2. One doubt is whether any “re-scooter” is available in system? I find only “re-cycle”, but I own a scooter at my home.
3. There is 'Find' button but it is not working properly. My wife lost the door key and we tried a lot trace the key with this 'find' button, but was unable to trace. Please rectify this problem.
4. My child learnt 'Microsoft word' now he wants to learn 'Microsoft sentence', so when you will provide that?
5. I bought computer, CPU, mouse and keyboard, but there is only one icon which shows 'My Computer': when you will provide the remaining items?
6. It is surprising that windows says 'MY Pictures' but there is not even a single photo of mine. So when will you keep my photo in that.
7. There is 'MICROSOFT OFFICE' what about 'MICROSOFT HOME' since I use the PC at home only.
8. You provided 'My Recent Documents'. When you will provide 'My Past Documents'?
9. You provide 'My Network Places'. For God sake please do not provide 'My Secret Places'. I do not want to let my wife know where I go after my office hours.
Regards,
Banta

Great Fact

Know that every thought and word that weakens you in the world is the only evil that exists. Whatever makes man weak and fear is the only evil that should be shunned. The greatest sin is to think yourself weak.I beg you to understand this one fact - no good comes out of the man who day and night thinks he is nobody. If a man day and night thinks he is miserable low and nothing, nothing he becomes... That is the great fact which you ought to remember.

Happy Holi(01-03-2010)

=============================================
Holi calls to put an end to any hard feelings that might have cropped up during the year. People apply colour and give each other a friends hug as they greet Holi, the tradition is called, 'Holi Milan'. It is strongly believed that even enemies turn friend on the day of Holi.

To enjoy a safe Holi,

• Play Holi only with a group of close friends and relatives as against strangers.

• do not buy synthetic colours and loose powdered dyes. Instead opt for skin friendly vegetable or natural colours.
• apply a thick layer of moisturizer, petroleum jelly or coconut oil on your face and other exposed parts to prevent dyes and colours from coming into direct contact with your skin.
• oil your hair well so that residue from the dyes does not get stuck to your hair and scalp.
• wear clothes with long sleeves and full length bottoms to protect your skin.
• stay away from intoxicants, such as bhang etc.
•Don’t walk alone on the streets on the Holi day. You’ll be a sure target for miscreants.

Happy Republic Day

To all Indians, here in India and all around the globe: Here is wishing you a very happy republic day. Many of us take this day as routine and just prefer treating it as another holiday. Well, while there is no harm in this approach, we must also try and recall the day’s worth. Since today will be history tomorrow, we must use this day for introspection. Are we good citizens? Are we contributing to the nation’s growth? Are we giving enough time to the poor and the needy of the society and empowering them? And the biggest question of all: will our children be proud of us tomorrow? Will we leave an inspiring legacy behind? Will we set worthy examples for the next generation to emulate?

National Youth Day (12 January)

Youth Day in India is commemorated on 12 January on the birthday of Swami Vivekananda. And in the year of 1984, the Govt. of India affirmed and determined to view the birthday of Swami Vivekananda (12 January, in accordance with an English calendar) as a National Youth Day each year from 1985 elapsed. To reference from the Govt. of India’s statement, ‘It was felt that the philosophy of Swamiji and the ideals for which he lived and worked could be a great source of inspiration for the Indian Youth.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing Is Impossible :Never think there is anything impossible for the soul. It is the greatest heresy to think so. If there is sin, this is the only sin - to say that you are weak, or others are weak. -Swamiji

Gita and Physical strength

We have wept long enough; no more weeping, but stand on your feet and be men. It is a man-making religion that we want. It is man-making theories that we want. It is man-making education all round that we want. And here is the test of truth-anything that makes you weak physically, intellectually and spiritually, reject as poison; there is no life in it, it cannot be true. Truth is strengthening. Truth is purity, Truth is all knowledge. Truth must be strengthening, must be enlightening, must be invigorating. We speak of many things parrot-like, but never do them; speaking and not doing has become a habit with us. What is the cause of that? Physical weakness. This sort of weak brain is not able to do anything. We must strengthen it. First of all our young men must be strong. Religion will come afterwards. You will be nearer to Heaven through football than through a study of the Gita. You will understand Gita better with your biceps, your muscles, a little stronger. You will understand the mighty genius and the mighty strength of Krishna better with a little of strong blood in you. You will understand the Upanishads better and the glory Of the Atman when your body stands firm upon your feet and you feel yourselves as men. What we want is vigour in the blood, strength in the nerves, iron muscles and nerves of steel, not softening namby-pamby ideas. Be moral, be brave, be stridently moral and brave. Don't bother your head with religious theories; cowards only sin, brave men never. Try to love anybody and everybody.
-Swami Vivekananda
