IIChE Student Chapter-Expert Lectures

    The IIChE Student Chapter of Chemical engineering Department of university organized two Expert Lectures on “Indian Chemical process Industries and Role of Chemical Engineers” by Dr I. D. Mall, Professor, IIT Roorkee and  " Plant Engineering and Project developments of Chemical Processing Plants" by Mr Hemant Kumar, AVP (Energy) at Linde Group for Chemical Engineering students on 28^th Sept 2012 in seminar hall of Vikram Sarabhai Block. This Event was organized by the IIChE student chapter in collaboration with Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Northern Region Centre, Delhi under “Industry-Academia Interaction”.

SCHEMCON-2012

Students from Department Of Chemical Engineering, DCRUST, Murthal along with Mr. Dheeraj Ahuja (Assistant Professor) visited BITS Pilani for participating in Poster Presentation, Quiz and Other Technical events in SCHEMCON-2012 on 21^st & 22^nd Sep 2012.

A team of 3^rd year chemical engineering students  Ms. Nikita Gupta, Ms. Saumya Rastogi and Mr. Sandeep Kaushik got the Second prize in Technical quiz.

The IIChE Student Chapter in Chemical engineering Department of our university  organized two Expert Lectures on “Chemical Reaction Engineering” by Dr Amalendu Dutta (Process Specialist Technip KTIndia Ltd and Executive member IIChENCR) and “Economics of Oil and Gas Industry and its current scenario" by Mr Devender Nahar from GAIL India Ltd on 30^th March 2012. This Event was organized by the IIChE student chapter in collaboration with Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Northern Region Centre, Delhi under Industry-Academia Interaction. Mr. R. P. Luthara (Director Administration, IIChENCR) and Mr. S. K. Balchandani (Executive member IIChENCR ) were present during the expert talks.

Happy Republic Day

To all Indians, here in India and all around the globe: Here is wishing you a very happy republic day.Many of us take this day as routine and just prefer treating it as another holiday. Well, while there is no harm in this approach, we must also try and recall the day’s worth. Since today will be history tomorrow, we must use this day for introspection. Are we good citizens? Are we contributing to the nation’s growth? Are we giving enough time to the poor and the needy of the society and empowering them? And the biggest question of all: will our children be proud of us tomorrow? Will we leave an inspiring legacy behind? Will we set worthy examples for the next generation to emulate?

IICHE Student Chapter- Prize Distribution Function

The Prize Distribution Function of IICHE Student Chapter was held on 07 December 2011 in Seminar Hall of Chemical Engg. Department. Prof. S. S. Sambi, Jt. Secretary, IICHE(NRC) presided over the function. Sh. Surinder Singh Bhinder, Asstt Prof.(Chemical Engg.) briefed the activities of Student Chapter. The Chief Guest distributed the prizes to the winners of Quiz competition.At the end, the chief guest made a short speech and congratulated the prize-winners.
